VIDEO: Men's Basketball Practice Preview

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The 2007-08 men's basketball season officially tips off Friday, Oct. 12, as practices get under way.

Head coach Matt Painter and company will begin narrowing their focus towards the season at hand and getting ready for their first competition, which begins in early November.

Up to this point, the Boilermakers have been focusing on conditioning and techniques in their pre-season team and individual workouts.

Earlier this week, Boilermaker All-Access caught up with coach Painter to discuss the season at hand, what is the most important thing for his team to learn in these first few weeks and why he doesn't always measure success by wins and losses.

The Boilermakers's season gets under way on Nov. 1 when they take on the University of Indianapolis in an exhibition at Mackey Arena. For ticket information, visit purduesports.com or call the Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800-49-SPORT.
